Scott Falls information:
Scott falls is one of the Top 10 easiest waterfalls to visit in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. You can literally pull up next to the waterfall located off Highway M28 just outside AuTrain. The waterfall is a straight plunge off of a 12-15foot hillside with a cave underneath. Scott Falls is accessible every season of the year and it does freeze up over winter with a column of ice.
Parking on the highway is not recommend, but usually the state police won't bother you, but you do have to be careful with cars traveling at 65-80 mph past you on the highway. It is best to park across the street at the roadside park. The roadside park is right on Lake Superior with a beautiful white sand beach, a great place for taking a swim or putting in your kayak or stand up paddleboard. Here at the roadside park you will also be able to see the "Face in the cliff" , GPS 46.438072, -86.815385.
Scott Falls is very beautiful little waterfall and a favorite of many, it is one of over 550 waterfalls in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I sure hope you can visit Scott falls soon, be sure to share your photos/videos #UPfalls #upperpeninsulawaterfalls
